Joakim Noah Calls A Heat Fan Something Naughty
I’m not a lip reader, but I’m pretty sure Joakim Noah said to a Miami Heat fan yesterday, “Fuck You, Fagget.”
“I apologize,” Noah said. “The fan said something to me that I thought was disrespectful, and I got caught up in the moment, and I said some things that I shouldn’t have said. I was frustrated and I don’t mean no disrespect to anybody. I just got caught up.”
Which sucks for him, because when I get heated and say some stupid shit, people just think I’m an asshole. When he does the same thing, he gets fined a butt load of cash AND people still think he’s an asshole.
And, if I remember correctly, a gay slur cost Kobe Bryant a cool 100K.
“While I’m fully aware that basketball is an emotional game, such a distasteful term should never be tolerated,” Commissioner David Stern said in a statement. “Accordingly, I have fined Kobe $100,000. Kobe and everyone associated with the NBA know that insensitive or derogatory comments are not acceptable and have no place in our game or society.”
That cant be good. I’m pretty sure his wallet just got much lighter.
No fine has yet been made, but I’m positive Stern is going to drop the hammer on the Chicago Bull later today.
I’ll set the over/under at $100,000.
